Dream-pop duo Beach House have released their latest single, “Lemon Glow.” The trance-inducing track is the first taste of the duo’s untitled, forthcoming album being released this spring.
With their newest song, Beach House continue their dream-pop escapades by layering vocalist Victoria Legrand’s lush synth instrumental with partner Alex Scally’s electric-slide guitar skills and heavy drums. The mix creates this trance-like experience as Legrand’s smooth, wispy vocals move with the peaks and valleys of the production.
The new album will the official follow-up to their double 2015 releases, Depression Cherry and Thank Your Lucky Stars, after which they released a compilation titled B-Sides and Rarities and went on a 2017 world tour.
Fans will likely be pleased with Beach House for sticking with their trademark sound 12 years after their acclaimed self-titled debut, rather than following today’s music trends. “Wishing everyone out there love tonight,” the band wrote while sharing their new song on Instagram.
