Coined "Scoobynatural," the episode appears to be a mix of both live-action and animation, meaning fans will get the best of both worlds. The trailer shows Sam and Dean get transported into the world of Scooby-Doo, and it's clear they're as cool in animation as they are in real life.

As previously reported, the reasoning behind Sam and Dean's crossover into the world of Scooby-Doo? Dean wrestling with a plushy. The episode will begin showing Dean in a wrestling match with a live plushy. For his efforts, a pawnshop owner offers the brothers a free TV in order to show his thanks. Sam, being Sam, is of course a bit weary of the free gift, but Dean is thrilled about it.

Taking the TV back to their bunker, Dean creates his own version of a man cave: the "Dean Cave."

With this being a Supernatural episode, everything is obviously not as it seems, and the brothers and their angelic sidekick Castiel is sucked inside an episode of a Scooby-Doo cartoon.

“Once they get over their amazement at being in the cartoon, two things happen,” co-showrunner Robert Singer told Entertainment Weekly. “They say, 'We’ve been in a situation like this before with the Trickster and I think we’re supposed to play this out.’ And then they realize they’re in a Scooby-Doo cartoon, which makes Dean incredibly excited because Scooby-Doo was his favorite cartoon growing up.”

The episode will be based on the 1970 Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episode "A Night Of Fright Is No Delight." While it's based on the episode, EW cites that the show won't exactly follow the episode. In this version, a new Supernatural-esque monster will make its appearance, and if it's anything like some of the monsters we've seen in episodes past, we're pretty sure it's going to be terrifying.

According to another co-showrunner, Andrew Dabb, the show's episode will be "pretty dark." He tells EW that: “They walk into an old episode of Scooby-Doo, but it may end up being a new episode of Supernatural.”

Yeah, we're pretty excited to see just how well the Mystery Gang and the boys in Supernatural team up together with this new monster.

Be sure to catch “Scoobynatural” when it airs Thursday, March 29 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
